Infiltration ecoguiada for trigger finger

The trigger finger is a common disease (2.6% chance over life in the general population *) with a major impact on function. It is classified into 4 degrees severity being the first two tributaries of conservative treatment and grades 3 and 4, surgical.

most effective conservative treatment is the injection of corticosteroids in pulley. On this aspect and the use of ultrasound to guide infiltration is this interesting article in the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. In the study, 41 prospective fingers, documented a 90% success (= disappearance of symptoms) compared to other studies with blind infiltration (57%, Fleisch et al and 56%, Peters-Veluthamaingal)

As curiosity patients are drawn from a private clinic of physical medicine and rehabilitation and sports. We, our colleagues.
